David’s Key Duties on your Special Day

As a future Bride or Bridegroom you may in the past have attended a wedding where a Red-Coated Professional Toastmaster has officiated, and hence realize just how invaluable a Toastmaster is. However if you have not then I list below some of the key duties that I will attend to for you on your special day.

Advise on wedding etiquette and customs prior to and during the big day.

Receive and direct your guests for welcome drinks and cloakrooms etc.

Receive and escort the Bride and Bridegroom on their arrival.

Assist with the synchronisation of the official photographs, as required.

Organise the receiving line, announce your guests by name.

Announce that the Wedding Breakfast is to be served and call your guests to table.

Announce the grand entrance of the Bride and Bridegroom and escort them to the top table.

Say Grace or introduce a chosen guest to do so, as required.

Announce the host/guests who will propose the traditional toasts.

Coordinate distribution of bouquets and presents, as required.

Announce and direct the cutting of the wedding cake.

Announce the retiring of the Bride and Bridegroom from the table at the close of formalities and advise guests of subsequent arrangements.

The above can be added to or amended to suit your own special requirements.
